Apparently, a year ago, someone made a swastika canon nazi icon and there was much drama. Some people were offended, and others felt the need to defend their right to offend, claiming original connotations, "we already call ourselves canon nazis, what's the difference?", and "you're stupid, that's why you don't get it." (I didn't read too many of the original comments, because I'm not that interested in year-old arguments between strangers about stupid things.) I totally missed that, but now it seems the icon defenders want to start up the discussion all over again. I wonder if it's to get rid of some of the members because the comm is getting too big?
I don't get the need to cause drama.
Also, I AM offended. Maybe I'm stupid, and maybe I don't get it, but I don't feel any need to be in a community that has a Nazi symbol for an icon, just to prove that they're assertive, clever bitches and they can do whatever they want, and they don't give a fuck who doesn't like it.
Well, whatever. Be bitches, but do it without me having to listen to it. Thank you.
(I resisted the urge to TELL them that I too was offended and would be leaving, because isn't that what they want? For people to get huffed up and leave, and then they can sit back and laugh at all the stupid people.)
