Just got back from London and haven't slept in 27 hours so I'm off to bed and hopefully I'll have more luck there than I did at the airport (which was freezing) or the plane (which was equally cold and had too many screaming kids on it), but first I just have to say:

I'm just happy she killed him off before she made all my dirty little fantasies come true. Otherwise it would have been Dumbledore and denial all over again. This was just pointless and undignified and leaves me feeling there's something not quite right with the wizarding world, but at least I knew that beforehand so she didn't steal anything away from me the way she would have if he died after.

I don't care what they named the second kid. I want him to know he got his redemption and the least they could do was show me the fucking portrait.

When I've had some sleep I shall hunt down cyber badges. There must be loads of people out there who feel the same way. Judging by some of the t-shirts on Friday night, there simply HAS to be.

Sucks that I was right about the bad stuff and the crappy sappy stuff. Snape was the ONE death I wanted to be wrong about, and it was the only one I got right.

More later, I'm sure.

Yep, even though I knew he had to die it still pissed me when he did. And by a frickin' snake! Grrr... Could've been more heroic.
But I was actually more annoyed by how she finished of Lupin. In a fickin' footnote!?!? Actually, not annoyed, infuriated!
Otherwise, I really liked it... Quite mean killing of only one twin, and leaving the one-eared alive...

The weird thing is, I'm taking this MUCH harder than I did Dumbledore dying, even if I was like the one person left in the world who hadn't seen that coming, and this one I knew, because it just HAD to happen. I think I was distracted from Lupin dying so insignificantly in my frustration with how she just dropped Snape on the floor like that, but yeah, that bothers me SO much as well.

But never as much as Snape. :) It's almost enough to make me go hunt for HP fanfics, but at the same time I just don't want it all ruined by crapfic. It would take a truly talented writer to do for me what Rowling failed to do. :/

PS. Have you found out who she changed her mind about and killed off? I've only managed to find out who she let live after all...

Who did she let live?? I don't know who she decided to kill instead of others, but maybe she was dabbling which Weasley to finish..? Hmm... There really isn't so many dead people, are there...?
Oh yeah, Snape-death way worse than Dumbledore-death...

She said in an interview on the 21st that Mr. Weasley was supposed to have died in Order of the Phoenix. (How happy am I that he didn't? Harry dreaming that was my favorite non-Snape related part of the book.) She may or may not have killed off Remus instead, but that wasn't really clear.

Oh yeah, Snape-death way worse than Dumbledore-death...

Yay! Well, not 'yay he died,' but 'yay we agree.' Can you believe there are actually people out there who still think he was the über-meanie??

WHY? Okay, he's not exactly über-nice and friendly in a snapy-wapy-kind-of-way, but did they not reeead the book? He is by far the coolest character in the books, and not-evil!
By the way, you have a rather dirty Snape-mind... Is that what you reeealy want him to do..? (refering to your icon)

I have no clue. I remember one person pointing out that Snape only wanted to save Lily and didn't care about James or Harry, so he just asked Voldemort to spare her, which this person saw as selfish and mean. And then someone pointed out that if Snape hadn't asked Voldemort that, Lily would never have been given the option of dying for Harry, which in turn gave him the protection he needed to eventually defeat Voldemort. Very cool, neh?

It's all about comic relief. :D

Hmm, apparantly they didn't get the entire love-issue that's been going on (love's the greatest power bla bla bla...), according to which it seems love never can be selfish.
And neat twist with Snape basically being the reason for Harry's (love-)protection
