Just... Well.
Jan. 10th, 2006 01:27 amWent to see Narnia tonight. I dunno. I never read the books, I didn't live the hype, the lion looked fine to me. The kids turned out not to be so annoying after all. The boy playing Peter would have made a great Cedric Diggory if he'd been a little older. I didn't like Cedric in Movie-GoF. There was a bit too much of the sappy stuff, but not as much "Jesus is my home-boy" as I had feared, even if I did have a bit of a "Jehova's Witnesses"-moment at one point because of the lion. That was a bad time to laugh out loud. Oh well, I got used to that years ago. Half the audience missed the ending with Lucy and the Professor, because they left right after the credits began. Now I remember why I always used to sit through all of it. That, and Alanis.
I'm tired.
There was a trailer for P&P while we were waiting to get in. Do I really want to see that? Am I not right that they slaughtered the book? Or at least Keira Knightley did. It will always be Colin and Jennifer for me; Olivier is okay, but just for laughs. Can I laugh about this one? I have a feeling it might make me cry.
