The very, very last day of work over! Kudos to me for getting through the "goodbye, and good luck"s all over again with a straight face. And for making it through the day without falling asleep after four nights of tossing and turning.

Now I can proceed to be a non-working student for the first time since I was 14. Ah, bliss. I just hope I get all the paperwork in order. I never realized there might be a problem doing two degrees. Who'd have thought you'd need to get permission from so many people to do something so simple--and how time-consuming it would be to get them? And where do they get off canceling the degree I have almost finished??

Tomorrow I'll head down to the Admission's Office and see if they won't correct that, and if I get that done everything else will probably go much easier. After all, if they will let me do it, what reasons could the departments then have for saying no?

(Am a little distracted at the moment by the women's handball match about to start and the smell of nuggets frying--man, am I starving! Going to work without thinking about lunch and ending up eating stale bread with yucky turkey stuff on it will do that to me.)

But other than the trip to campus tomorrow should be a slow day. Just a few phone calls about a screw-up in my taxes and insurance, a trip to Ikea, and that woman coming by to buy my old fridge. And then lots and lots of time left for sorting out my new place. Maybe I'll even have time left to work on the next chapter of "Is This Anything?" so I can send it to Ash this weekend. And update on time!!

I am completely hype because I no longer have to go to work. Just like the last time I quit. Like Rory when she got stood up by Jess. Only in a feel-good sort of way. We'll see how long I stay that way...
