Oh, yeah, the reasoning behind the whole volunteering--because it actually DOES make sense: When the annoying teacher asks for a volunteer I can feel all holy, because I'm already doing it for another class. So someone ELSE will have to go find his office. Not me! (I thought about going all the way with the good girl act, but then it occurred to me that it really will just be too much hard work to act like I care on such a regular basis. So now I'm settling for just having me covered.)
