"You stink!"

I have a cold from having the window open 24/7 to get rid of the smell and my throat is sore from breathing in the paint because the open window isn't doing much good.
Painting really wasn't as much fun as I had hoped it would be. Mostly because I had to work around my furniture. Also the janitor (grrr) didn't give me enough tarp to cover up the floor and furniture nor enough tape to protect the lists.
And how did Lorelai manage to paint the diner in the time between when the bread guy let her in and Luke showed up? It took me eight hours to cover up my place and paint the walls on Saturday, and then another hour on Sunday to go over the white spots a second time.
But I'm actually liking the color, which I wasn't sure I would--I am a bit fickle like that. I mean, at the beginning of last week I wanted to do a savannah sort of theme, now my walls are purple. It is actually just as rewarding as I thought it would be now that it's done. Tomorrow I'll go shopping for picture frames so that I can get stuff on my walls--then I'll be living here properly.
Oh, I got a letter from the Admissions Office on Saturday telling me I had been kicked off European Studies because I had accepted my spot at the Slavic Department. They didn't even bother to sign it, which offended me a little. I am still applying for permission to study both subjects, though, because a friend told me the BA will take seven semesters, not six, on account of the extra classes I need to take since I know nothing of the language. But I DO get extra grants for that semester. (It's a good thing I'm in no hurry to finish school and get a "real" job...)
