silly politics
Oct. 3rd, 2006 10:02 amI don't really talk about politics here, ever, but this time I must share the fun:
The PM has the support of most of his fellow right-wing politicians as well as some political commentators, who throw amusing digs at the press for their "extreme fascination with reporting about the strikes." Assuming that no one will want to know what's going on.
City hall in Aarhus was vandalized last night. Someone poured red paint on the walls and wrote something like "Denmark is bleeding." Personally, I think City Hall is an UGLY building and a slab of paint wouldn't hurt, but this just looks silly. And I find it very unfortunate that it is so reminiscint of what that BUPL guy did to the PM back in 2002, since he's being accused of being the mastermind behind all this. It just lends so much credence to the conspiracy theories.
But the most pathetic thing? The lock-down at my old high school. We did it my Junior year. I don't remember why, but I remember sitting in the hallway all day and Dennis spilling soda on Camilla's wallet, which pissed her off. And then I made a comment about surface tension and how we should try this in Chem class. Which pissed Camilla off even more. The point is, we ALL did it, even those of us who didn't care why. Or know why. I don't think I even knew back then. Oh, wait, I think it was something about attendance and exams. ANYhoo. This time there are FORTY students blocking the doors. Forty! How pathetic is that? There are about as many teachers as that, morons. And this isn't really even about them. We have very few teen pregnancies in this country, and even fewer senior citizens in high school.
LOL. As a nation we really get worked up about the strangest things.
